We’re looking for an experienced Data Scientist to join our team and help to create the predictive analytics models that drive our IoT base and web application.

We’ve just closed our first significant investment round, and you’ll be joining the company at a stage where you can make a real impact. You’ll be working closely with our technical leadership and engineering team to leverage the data collected from our IoT devices.

WHAT WE'RE DOING...

We’re capturing real-time data from our IoT devices deployed on maritime vessels at sea. We use this data to provide our customers with real-time insights into the behaviour and status of their vessels. We're also looking to predict vessel conditions and optimise vessel operations using predictive models, to aid in scheduling maintenance, reducing operating costs, and cutting CO2 emissions.

THE ROLE

• Work closely with our engineering team to understand and analyze complex maritime data

• Develop predictive models to understand vessel behaviour and predict maintenance needs

• Ensure the data integrity, security, and privacy of sensitive information

• Participate in the iterative development of our data-driven product

• Mentor any junior team members in data science methodologies

• Solve unique data science challenges every day

REQUIREMENTS

• Excellent knowledge of Python and its popular AI / ML models

• Experience with MongoDB for handling and managing data

• Experience with predictive analytics and machine learning models, from inception to deployment

• Ability to write clean, efficient code

• Experience working with large datasets and data cleaning

• Experience with git and GitHub in large team environments

• Startup mindset

• Have worked with industrial or IoT datasets

• Have built infrastructure on Azure
